Healing body & soul

The Gospel According to St Matthew 9 1-8

Jesus Heals a Paralytic

9 And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city. 2 And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on his bed; and when Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.”

Christ, the Law & the Prophets

The Gospel According to St Matthew 5 13-19

Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trodden under foot by men.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. 15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

The price of peace is division

The Gospel According to St Matthew 10:34-40

Not Peace, but a Sword

34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;

St Michael the Archangel

The Gospel According to St Matthew 18:1-10

True greatness

18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them,

3 and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Temptations to Sin

Mary, Mother of ALL the living

Our Blessed Lady is the mother of all the living, or rather she is mother of Life itself. Since we all receive life from He who is Life, rightly then can we extend to her, the title of "ALL the living", for she is the mother of the very source of life itself, God.

The Gospel According to St John 19:26-27

26 When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

Divine Love

The letter from St Paul to the Ephesians 3:13-21

13 So I ask you not to[a] lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
